Our
Farm
| Due
to a change in work and some family medical problems, Randy and Amy Wilt of Wilt
Suffolks, sold their entire yearling crop and brood ewes to Rogers Suffolks, Chris
and Kristen Rogers of Carmi, Illinois. Randy and Amy Wilt are flock advisors (consultants)
with the Chris and Kristen Rogers for the next couple of years, allowing them
to breed heavy bodied, heavy boned, large framed sheep that can stay in nice condition
on pasture. Rogers Suffolks' 19 yearling daughters were all sired by "The Great
1" (BYU 741). Two of the 21 brood ewes we have on the farm are flush sisters to
the 1999 Champion Ewe at the 1999 Midwest Stud Ram sale in Sedalia, along with
her mother, Wilt 9428. "The Mathematician's" mother, Wilt 9461, is also included
in our brood ewe group of registered Suffolk sheep. | |

By
settling on a brood group with the Wilt Suffolks bloodline, Rogers Suffolks have
made a serious commitment to becoming a leading seed stock producer to the Suffolk
breed of sheep. Chris Rogers and Family Suffolks has been dealing in Suffolks
since 1986. "The Great 1" was 1998 International Livestock Show - "Ram of the
Future" 1998 International Livestock Show - widest based, thickest topped, heaviest
boned, heaviest muscled, levelest hipped ram shown. |
